GENERAL MUSIC

Students in grades kindergarten through eight participate in general music instruction twice a week.  Students are scored based on the music standards and benchmarks that have been adopted by the Des Moines Diocese. Activities include singing, performing on instruments, creating music, reading and writing music, listening to music, and studying music in relationship to history and culture.

Music Enrichment for 2010

March 23 - 4th grade to the Des Moines Symphony at the Civic Center

April 12 - 5th grade to San Jose Taiko at the Civic Center
