Students in kindergarten through eighth grade participate in general music instruction twice a week.  Students are scored based on the music standards and benchmarks that have been adopted by the Des Moines Diocese. Activities include singing, performing on instruments, creating music, reading and writing music, listening to music, and studying music in relationship to history and culture. Each grade level also presents one concert every year as a part of the music program (see the link below).
