INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC

St. Francis of Assisi offers band for students beginning in grade five.  Band is not in the St. Francis School general budget and parents must pay for instruction.  Band fees and tuition pay for private lessons and a large group band experience.  Solo and ensemble opportunities are also available for band students.  Private lessons are offered weekly during the school day and large group rehearsal is before school.  Students involved in band are held to curricular standards and benchmarks.  Band is an intellectual and artistic activity as evidenced by placement of instruction during the academic day.
