Dear St. Francis of Assisi School
Patrons,
It is an honor to present the St.
Francis of Assisi School progress report for the 2009-2010
school year. We hope you find the data interesting and
useful. The purpose of the report is to provide
important educational data to our students, parents, staff,
parish community, and prospective families. We have always
been pleased with the academic progress our students are
making, but rest assured, we continually strive for
improvement. This report covers a wide-range of data.

MISSION
The mission of the
Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Des Moines is to provide
meaningful educational experiences for the children and
adolescents in an environment integrated by Gospel values that
nurture faith, community, prayer, and service. At St.
Francis of Assisi School, we promote the spiritual and
academic growth of our students in a manner designed to uphold
the charisma and spirit of St. Francis, our patron saint..
We honor his simple spirit, his love of brotherhood / sisterhood
and his awareness of God’s presence in all creatures.
